CO 96C Resurfacing from Ordway to Arlington

 
 

About the Project:

The Colorado Department of Transportation and Simon Contractors have scheduled a resurfacing project on CO 96 in Crowley, Kiowa and Otero counties. The project will include asphalt removal and highway resurfacing on CO 96. The project will begin at the intersection of CO 71 and CO 96, Mile Point 106. In Sugar City, ADA ramps will be replaced at the intersection of CO 96 (Adams St.) and Colorado St. The construction will conclude at MP 130.6 in Arlington.


Work Schedule

  • Work is scheduled to begin on July 12 and is expected to last until October/November 2021.
  • Normal working hours will be from 30 minutes after sunrise and 30 minutes before sunset.

Traffic Impacts

  • Loads wider than 12 feet will be restricted through the work zone.
  • The speed limit will be reduced to 40 mph through the work zone.
  • There will be single lane closures throughout the course of the project.
  • Delays are not expected to exceed 15 minutes
