TOWN COUNCIL MEETING

November 8, 2021

Minutes

  1. Call to Order took place at 6:00 pm,
  2. The Pledge of Allegiance was held.
  3. Roll Call took place with Council Members Buford, Kurtz, Pepper, Watkins (GT), Romero & Barber present, Also present: D. Sprosty (TC).
  4. Additions/Changes to the Agenda: Drop 7A, 8C, 8E, IOA, 10B
  5. The agenda changes to the were approved 6-0, Romero (M), Pepper (S)

The agenda was approved with changes 6-0, Pepper (M), Kurtz (S)

  1. The October 25, 2021, minutes were approved 6-0. Buford (M), Romero (S)
  2. Public Comment: (those individuals interested in speaking, please sign in at the beginning of the meeting. Comments are restricted to five minutes per person. NONE

  1. Old Business-
    1. The Faw Wells bid change to Hydro Logik's bid to 5820.00 was approved 6-0, Watkins   Buford (S)
    2. Resolution No. 2021-06, changes to the municipal Court were approved 6-0, Pepper (M), Kurtz (S)

D. Town Property update took pface. Core Civic has started on the East 6th St. project.

  1. Public Information Officer — The meeting with the fire department was discussed concerning Their budget.
  2. New Business-None

  1. Clerk Report: D. Sprosty, clerk gave an update on the KABOOM project starting 11-11-21.
  2. Financials
    1. Mill Levey Training will take place in Las Animas B. October Accounts payable were presented
  3. Maintenance: The school zones were painted today.
  4. The council approved entering executive session at 6:26 pm. Kurtz (M), Pepper (S) pursuant to C.R.S. 24-6-402 (4), executive session may be entered into for the purpose of discussing personnel, property, legal advice, matters to be kept confidential by law, security, and negotiations to discuss A. Sheriff Contract B. Core Civic Negotiations C. Water Contract.

The council exited executive session at 7:10 pm.

  1. Personnel: Staff leave balances have been fixed and will now show up on their paystubs.
  2. Next meetings or work sessions: A. Council will schedule a work session after mill levy training. B. Regular Meeting 11-22-21
  3. Adjournment took place at 7:14 pm. Pepper (M), Romero (S)
